Syyskuun viimeinen - Last of September

Pikkuisen ehti tänään paperihommailla.. Pahvia, dymoteippiä, liimaa, musteita, pari kohokuviokansiota ja teippiä.. Stanssit Tattered leaves &Washer border.

Today I had time for a little bit of papercraftng.. Cardboard, glue, inks, embossing folders, tape, and the Tattered leves and Washer border dies. "Syksy" is Autumn/Fall in Finnish.

Uusi kausi - A new aeon

Tänään on ensimmäinen työpäivä  2,5v hoitovapaan jälkeen.. Tämmöistä olen tehnyt tätä aikaa varten, vien sen työpöydälleni kaipuuta lievittämään.. 7gypsiesin ATC-karuselli + kortteja + valokuvia ja sälää.. Karusellin valmistus ikävä kyllä lopetettu..

Today's my first day at work after 2,5 years parental leave.. This I've been making for some time no, to ease the longing a bit..

Heinäkuun ruudut - July photogrid

Tämä jäi odottelemaan, että saisin  ostettua tuon Washer Border-stanssin.. Nyt sitten viikonloppuna Intohimona Askartelu-tapahtumasta viimein löytyi, Paperellan valikoimasta. Pohjana 7Dots Studion Wonderland/Royal Garden, renkulat leikattu siitä myös, kullanväristä ja valkoista värikynää, pari eri mustekynää otsikkoon.

This laid waiting for me getting to buy the Washer Border die.. This weekend I finally found it! The background is  7Dots Studio Wonderland/Royal Garden, from the other side of which I cut the washers from.. some gold and white pencils, 3 different fountain pens for the title..

A small Crossroads book - Pieni kirja Teidenristeyksestä

I made this maybe a week ago.. I seem to be really enamored with the technique of scrunching paper and the colouring it with inkpads. The key stamp is a wooden hand carved one (not by me) and the round symbol stamp is also hand carved, by me, from softcut linoleum. The paper I used is from my 1998-2001 dream journal.

Tämä tuli valmiiksi n. viikko sitten.. Tykkään nyt rutata paperia ja värittää sen sitten mustetyynyillä pyyhkimällä. Avainleimasin on puinen ja ostettu, pyöreä symbolileimasin itse softcut linosta kaiverrettu. Paperi on unipäiväkirjastani v.1998-2001.

Hey Grl.. Relax!

One more page to the new collage+stamping art journal.. I used kraft packing paper, Distress inks and Archival ink, some Wow embossing powder, Pritt glue and some sewing pattern paper I had lying around.. Hero Arts' Chevron stamp, the lotus is Inkadinkado and the Grl is from FinnStamper.  Theme is letting go, relaxing one's thoughts..

Sahalaitaleimasin on Hero Artsin, lootus Inkadinkadon ja meditoija Finstamperin leimasimella..Teemana irtipäästäminen, ajatusten rentouttaminen..

100 Skies and then some - 100 Taivasta ja pari vielä lisää

We've been doing daily midday drives in order to get Boi to take his naps. I started taking photos of the beautiful skies visible on the motorway, and suddenly there were lots and lots of sky photos.. So, I made two scrap pages from yesterday's and today's photos for the Project Life folder.. Background is My Mind's Eye Life Stories, stamped with Artemio lace stamp plus Wow! embossing powder, 7gypsies Disclaimer stamps inked Vintage Photo Distress ink and a couple of Papertrey ink die cuts. And the letters were cut from thin foam with the TH Alterations Word Play die.

I'm entering these pages into Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge where this week anything goes.. 

Olemme nukuttaneet jälkikasvua päiväunille autoajeluilla nyt päivittäin. Ryhdyin ottamaan kuvia moottoritiellä näkyvästä kauniista taivaasta, ja niitä tulikin paljon.. Eilisen ja tämänpäivän kuvista tein sitten kaksi skrappityötä. Menevät Project Life-kansioon. Pohjana My Mind's Eye.n Life Stories, jonka päälle Artemion pitsileimasinta ja Wow!-kohokuviointijauhetta, 7gypsiesin Disclaimer-leimasimilla Vintage Photo Distress inkiä ja pari Papertrey ink:n stanssilla tehtyä pilveä. Ainiin, kirjaimet on leikattu softiksesta TH Alterations stanssilla Word play.

 Background is a Project Life journaling card, which I covered some cloud paper, and the put a hot air balloon image stamped onto white foam material.. The text stamp is Maya Road, and the hot air balloon components are Papertrey Ink. Today's journaling entry to my Project Life album, and also I'm entering this into Simon Says Stamp and Show Layers challenge!

Kesäkuun ruudut - June photogrid scrapped

Pohjana toukokuun 7Dots Studion Wonderland- paperin toinen puoli, vähän lisätty sinistä, pari stanssattua pilveä, ja kuuset leimattu kahteen kertaan.. Olin odottanut että tulisi sopivan vaalea paperi että saisin tuon kesätaivaan muiston talteen.

Background paper is 7Dots Studio Wonderland collection (backside of my May grid page), plus some cloud die cuts, a little bit of blue ink, and the firs stamped twice. I'd been waiting to get to a paper light enough so I could get the memory of summer sky scrapped..

Linonleikkuuta - Softcut linoleum

Pari viime päivää olen pikkuhiljaa työstänyt softcut linosta isoa leimasinta, ja alkaa olla valmis. Materiaaliin oli hankala tehdä suunnitelmaa, mikään muu kuin hyvin pehmeä lyijykynä ei pysynyt pinnassa kiinni, ja tein sen virheen että leikkasin kehyksen irti lopusta linoarkista ensin: loppuosasta olisi ollut hyvä pitää leikellessä kiinni. No, onnistui mitenkuten, mielenkiintoista taas oli virkistää tämänkin prosessin taitoa.

I've been slowly cutting softcut linoleum to make a large stamp, and I'm getting there.. The material was difficult to mark; nothing I had made any marks except for very soft pencil. Also I cut the frame out from the rest of the "page" too early, as it would have been handy to hold while cutting with the scalpel.. Well, at least it was interesting to refresh my skill in processinf this material..
