Gelli kokeiluja - Trying out an idea with the Gelli plate

 Uusi Memory Box'in stanssi, jolla leikkasin pahvista ja valokuvapaperista maskeja, sekä aiemmin softiksesta ja pahvista tekemäni pilvitaivasleimasin, 8"x10" Gelli Platella.. väreinä Sang-merkkiset neon-akryylivärit. Ylempi kuva on n. 8"x10", alempi art journalini sivu (n. 5"x8").



These gelli prints I made on my 8"x10" gelli plate, with masks cut from cereal box&redundant photo paper with a Memory Box die, and stamped with a large foam sky stam I made some time ago. The colors were cheap Sang neon acrylics. The 1st pic is about 8"x10", and the second is a page from my 5"x8" art journal.

Gellikokeiluja - Gelli Plate Late Nite Play

Ensin kokeilin teippitekniikkaa, mutta koko 8"x 10" levyn kokoisella palasella kontaktimuovia.. sitten liimapinnalle Perfect Pearls-jauheita.

First I tested the tape technique, but used a piece of book plastic instead of pieces of tape.. then some Perfect Pearls.

Sitten otin vanhan tunnuslukukortin ja käytin sitä pelkästään gelli platen ja akryylivärien kanssa..

Then I took an old credit card and used that only on the gellli plate with the acrylics..

Synttärimaisemia - Birthday sceneries

Synttäripäivänä ehdin tehdä parinkymmenen vedoksen pinkan gelli printtejä, tällä kertaa ohjelmassa sinistä, halloweenvärejä, puita ja kuita.. Pahvista kohokuvioiduilla leimasimilla, Crafters' Workshopin puumaski ja pari softisleimasinta.

I had time to make about two dozen gelli prints today. Blue, halloween colors, trees and moons.. Cardboad embossed with folders in Big Shot, Crafters' Workshop tree mask, and a couple of stamps made from foam.

Syyskuun #30 listaa - 30 days of Lists September

Laitoin listani toisaalle, mutta tässä on kooste listani kuvista. Gelli printtejä, joissa stanssattuja tai leimattuja kuvia.

I put my 30 lists elsewhere, but here's summary of the pics. Gelli prints by me, embellished with die cuts or stamping.

Uusia gelli printtejä - New gelli prints

 Kävin tänään Leimailutaivaassa :-D tässä muutamia uusillä välineillä tehtyjä gelli printtejä. Nämä tehty tunnissa.
Ensimmäinen on Tando Creativen neliöt + Sizzixin rinkulastanssilla tehdyllä stencilillä tehty kokeilu, mukana myös Glitz-leimasinpyörää (raksit).

Today I went to the crafts fair Leimailutaivas :-D and here's some gelli prints done with the new loot during the one free hour I had.. The first one is a combination of 3 tools: a Tando Creative rectangles stencil, a Glitz stamping wheel, and a stencil I made from plastic using a Sizzix circles die.

 Mustavalkoinen on Artistcellarin 4n karttan stencilin setistä, veikkaan Pariisia. Tämän ajattelin väritellä vaikka värikynillä tai tusseilla, tai ehkä vesiväreillä saisi hauskan.

The next one is a tryout of Artistcellar set of 4 map stencils. I think this is Paris. I'm thinking of coloring this later with coloring pencils, pens or maybe watercolors.

Kolmantena mustavalkoisen vedoksen päälle on tehty värillinen kiinteä väripinta, jossa on kahta eri akryyliväriä.

The 3rd one is a black and white pull plus a solid colour surface of two acrylic colours.

Ja neljäntenä vetäisin mustaa koko gelli platen päälle, siihen päälle stencil, ja sen päälle painoin aiemmin tehdyn vedoksen, josta en pitänyt. Totaalinen muodonmuutos :-D.

And the 4th one.. first I rolled the plate surface with black, put the stencil over that, and pressed a previously made gelli print i did not like, onto the top. Total transformation :-D.

Pöllöjä - Owls

Nämä pöllöt tein muutama päivä sitten todella nopeasti. Sain idean, leikkasin maskin kuultopaperista, ja ei muuta kuin telailemaan gelli platelle akryylivärejä. Kuultopaperinen maski ei selvinnyt rytäkästä vaan repesi.

These owls I printed some days ago. They were a very fast (one hour?) development of an idea. I cut the owl mask from vellum and the printed these gelli prints with acrylics. The mask did not survive: it was torn to almost half by the time I pulled the 4th picture here.

Aurinkoista - Sunny

 Leikkasin softiksesta pilviä Papertrey Inkin stanssilla, teippasin ne 10"x7" pahviin, ja käytin sitä gelli platella poistamaan levylle levittämääni väriä. Alareunan kuviointi on tehty pahvinpalalla, jonka kuvioin kohokuviointitaskulla. Tässä taitaa olla kolme vetäisyä päällekkäin, neon-akryyliväreillä.

I cut some clouds from soft foam with a Papertrey Ink die, taped the die cuts to a 10"x7" piece of cardboard to make a huge stamp. Then I used it to remove some color I had rolled onto my gelli plate. The patterns on the lower part of the picture are made with a piece of cardboard I ran though an embossing folder. I used neon acrylics.

Tässä simppeli yhdellä vetäisyllä tehty gelli print. Sinistä yläosaan, violettia alaosaan, ensin sinisen telaus ja sitten violetti. sitten poistin värin Tim Holzin leimasimella (jonka juoksin pesemään heti ettei akryyliväri vaan kuivuisi siihen).

This gelli print was done as one pull. Blue to the upper part with the roller, then violet to the lower part. Birds were made with a Tim Holz stamp (which I ran to clean after pulling the print so the paint would not dry onto it..).

Eilisaamun ja -illan parhaita vedoksia.. Tein pahvista "leimasimia" kohokuvioimalla ja käytin valmista ratassabluunaa.. Tässä satsin keltasiniset ja viimeisenä Ihan Muuta.. kuvaa klikkaamalla saa isomman/tarkemman näkyviin.

Yesterday morning's and evening/night pulls.. I made some stams by embossing some bits of cardboard, and also used an airbrushing stencil for the cogs.. These pics are blue&yellows but the last one is blue&violet.Click the pictures to see more closely.

Gelli Plate

 Sain viimein käsiini 8" x 10" Gelli Plate'n.. Olen väijynyt sitä kuukausia :-D ja viimein posti toi melko lähelle.. Mustavalkoinen oli kokeilu siitä, millaisia jälkiä ihan vain kädellä saa aikaan yhden musteen avulla. Pinkki-keltainen on ns. viskositeettiprinttaustekniikalla tehty (ohut märempi akryyliväri paksumman alla), ja sini-kelta-punainen oli kolmessa kerroksessa vedostettu. Leimasimina käytin softiksesta leikattuja kuvioita. Erittäin addiktoivaa puuhaa, ja nopeaa, tein nämä n. 30 minuutissa!

I got my own Gelli Plate at last in 8" x 10" size. I've been stalking it for months :-D and finally the post system got my plate to nearby office.. the B/W picture is just a tryout with only the gelli plate, my hand and black paint. The Pink&yellow is a test of the viscosity printing technique, and the blue-yellow-red was done as 3 pulls. I used foam plate cutouts for stamps. Very fast very addictive stuff: I made these in just 30 minutes.
