December Daily etenee.. tänään vaihdoin printteriin musteet ja printtasin ensimmäiset 17 kuvaa DD-kansioon. En ota jokaisesta sivusta kuvaa erikseen, mutta tässä kooste alkupään kuvista..

December Daily progress.. today I put new ink into my printer and printed out the first 17 photos for my DD-folder. I won't be taking photos of each page, but here's a collection of the first two weeks' photos.

Kuunpimennys - Lunar Eclipse

Tänään oli täydellinen kuunpimennys, alkuillasta. Oli niin pilvistä, että sain pimennyksestä valokuvia vain aivan lopusta, mutta tein pimennyksen aikana siitä silti kuvan..

Today there was a complete lunar eclipse. It was so cloudy here that I only got photos of the last minutes, but I still made a picture..

Blue

Tein tämän kuvan marraskuussa, mutten tullut kuvanneeksi sitä. No, tänään kuvattu. Vastaa sen viikonlopun tunnelmia, joka ei ole vielä alkanut.

I made this picture in November, but never did get around taking a photo of it. Well, I did now. Fits the mood of this weekend not yet begun.

"Drive All Nite..

And sleep all day.." Boi siirtyi kahden päiväunisession järjestelmästä yksiin päiväuniin viime kesän aikana.. Tässä 7 Dots Studion Labraselkkari, jossa aiheena oli tehdä työ fotostripin ympärille. Hipstafotot ovat yksittäisiä, mutta kun on ottanut monta samasta aiheesta peräkkäin, on ne helppo yhdistää stripiksi. Paperina 7DSn Drive All Night, leimasimet enimmäkseen Pink Paisleen Daily Junque'ta ja 7 Gypsiesin Disclaimer'ia, ja myös Lost Coast Designsin lemppareita.


And sleep all day".. the Son shifted from a system of 2 daytime naps to one nap per day during last summer, and that's commemorated here. This was inspired by 7 Dots Studio's photo strip challenge. My photos are taken with Hipstamatic and therefore singles, but combining them is easy when one prints one's own photos.. The papers are mostly 7DS's Drive All Night, and the stamps used include  Pink Paislee's Daily Junque, 7Gypsies' Disclaimer, and Lost Coast Designs.

December Daily

Joulukuun ajan otan joka päivä vähintään yhden valokuvan, ja teen niistä kansion kuvateksteillä. Kansio on jo, halpis A6-kokoinen muovitaskusto, ja kuvat tulevat olemaan Hipstamaticilla otettuja. Tässä tämän aamun kuva. Yöllä oli satanut lunta.

I'll take at least one Hipstaphoto each day in this December, and I'll put them into a cheapo A6-size folder. This is today's photo. It snowed last night.

NaNoJouMo 25-28 & 29-30

Viimeiset NaNoJouMo-kuvat, tehty loppuun eilen, eli 3 päivää meni yli. Lisäilin joihinkin aiempiin kuviin glitteriä, laitoin kaikkien sivujen oikeaan reunaan  teippiä suojaksi hajoamiselta, ja lopuksi päällystin kannet kontaktimuovilla jotta opus pysyisi kasassa paremmin. Kiintoisa harjoitus tämä oli, mutta tuo sivujen kehystäminen kuvasuikaleilla ei sittenkään ole ihan ominta minua, mieluummin leimaan kuten päivän 28 kuvassa, josta tykkään kovasti.

The last NaNoJouMo journal pictures, finished yesterday which is 3 days late. I added glitter to some of the earlier pics, put clear tape on the edge of every page in order to protect from unraveling, and finally covered the covers with plastic to keep it together better. This was an interesting exercise, but framing each page with paper slips I not really Me. I'd rather stamp around: as matter of fact the Day 28 page is my favorite of all.

NaNoJouMo 17-20 & 21-24

17.päivän kuvan aiheena on "Doodle".. en ole vielä saanut sitä aikaan, tuntuu tylsältä: siispä haastava.

Day17's title is "Doodle".. I haven't gotten myself to make the picture, as the prompt feels boring: and therefore challenging.

NaNoJouMo 13-16

Lauantain tuotoksia.. vielä vähän ja olen "ajan tasalla"! En pidä siitä millaiseksi tuo keltainen muotoutui, mutta annetaan olla.. Sydän-kuumailmapalloa oli kiva tehdä :-D

Saturday's produce.. a little more and I'm "up to date" I don't like the way the yelleow one turned out, but I'm letting it be.. I liked making the heart hot air balloon :-D

NaNoJouMo 9-12

Eilen illalla sain idean tuohon päivän 9 kuvaan, "True Blue".. tänä aamuna sitten tein kuvan. Muut tehty jo aiemmin. True Blue:ssa käytetyt kuvaleimasimet kaikki itse kaiverrettuja, kirjaimet Inkadinkado:n.

I got the idea for day 9, "True Blue", late yesterday evening.. made the page a couple of minutes ago. The other three were made earlier. The picture stamps used  in True Blue were all made by me, while the alphabet stamps are Inkadinkado.

NaNoJouMo 1-4

Suunnittelen December Dailyn tekemistä.. sitä miettiessä tuli törmänneeksi NaNoJouMo:on.. Art Journalingista on kysymys, aikaa marraskuu, joka päivä pitäisi tehdä art journalingia.. Tuntui omalta, ja pöydältä löytyi aloitettu kesken jäänyt joka sopii tähän kuin nenä päähän.. hommiin siis. Aloitin 16.11. eli pitää ottaa yli kaksi viikkoa kiinni.. Kuvassa ensimmäiset neljä sivua.

I'm planning to make a December Daily.. while pondering on it, I found NaNoJouMo.. Art Journaling Month. For the whole November one is supposed to make a page a day at least.. This felt like something I'd like to do, so I started work even at November 16th, over two weeks late. Here are my first 4 pages.

Mustia lintuja - Black Birds again

Tänään leimaamalla tehty kuva, mustaa valkoisella, leimasimet Lost Coast Designin. Sitten yhdistin valokuvaan taivaasta ja muutin digitaalisesti vastaamaan tunnelmaani.

I did the crows in black ink on white paper, Lost Coast Designs stamps. Then I combined the image with a photo taken of sky, plus fiddled with the combination digitally to make it fit my mood.

Hetki - A Moment

Kävin Kädentaidot-messuilla lauantaina, ja siellä oli Lost Coast Designin tätikin upeine leimasimineen! Mukaan tarttui paljon kumia :-D, tässä uusi kuumailmapalloleimasin ja aiemmin ostettu ratasleima yhdessä.. Kortin ajatus on onnittelukortiksi, en vaan vielä leimannut sitä valmiiksi kun ei ole kohdetta.
Voi olla, etten laitakaan mitään tekstiä..

I went to the Helsinki Crafts fair on Saturday, and found the owner of Lost Coast Designs there with her stamps! I bought many, of which I present here the hot air balloon stamp plus an earlier cogs stamp acquisition.. This is intended for a congratulation card, but as I don't have anyone to send it to now, I did not stamp the sentiment yet. Maybe I will not..

Scrapbooking the Dreamer ;-D

Voitin 7 Dots Studion blogi-arvonnassa Finnabair'in suunnitteleman Dreamer-kokoelman :-D!
Tämä on ensimmäinen kokoelmasta tehty leiska: sarja sopii loistavasti yhteen Hipstamaticilla otettujen lomokuvien kanssa. Leikkasin paperin (Daydreaming -paperin vaalea puoli) sopivaksi ja printtasin kuvani suoraan sen pintaan: vanha Epson suoriutui tehtävästä vaikka nämä paperit ovat paksuja, paksuimpia mistään skräppäyspapereista mihin olen törmännyt!

I won the Dreamer Collection by Finnabair on 7 Dots Studio's draw :-D yay! Here you see the first layout I've made using it. The papers work very well with lomo-photos taken with my Hipstamatic on iPod. I wanted to have the paper pattern be visible through the photo, so I cut the Daydreaming-paper to size and put it through my old not so trusty Epson to print my photo right onto the paper. It came through, although these papers are really thick: it was nicely flexible!

Kisukortti - Kitteh card

Havaitsin, että täksi päiväksi tarvitaan synttärikortti.. Paperi oli jo valmiina, mutta näytti jotenkin karulta pelkästään.. siispä kukkasia laserleikatusta arkista+värejä päälle!


I realised a birthday card was needed for today.. I had bought the paper for this already in the summer, but it somehow seemed a bit stark alone.. so, added some snips frm a laser cut flowery paper + Distress inks to color!

Jostain jäi tuo nimifraasi päähän kiertelemään, ja tislautui sitten lopulta minikuvakirjaksi.

The title phrase of this book attached itself to my mind a while ago, and now it's been distilled into this mini picture book..

Vaihtelua.. skräppäystä :-) - Something Different

Aiemmin tein paljon kortteja, eikä se toki ole jäänyt pois.. mutta nykyään enemmän art journaleita, Project Lifea, minikirjoja ja skräppäystä.. tämä sivu innoittui 7 Dots Studion uuden Dreamer-sarjan papereista joita olen vain ihaillut netissä.. tein ensin taustaksi sinistä ja vihreää ja numeroita, mutta se muuttui liian levottomaksi tuon sateenkaaren kanssa.. siispä seesteistä taivasta kehiin sinisella elintarvikevärillä.. Olen ommellut paperin reunalle ja valokuvan päälle ompelukoneella, piti testata sitäkin tällä kertaa. Valokuvan vasemmalla puolella on kahdella Distress-musteella väritettyä silkkipaperia.

I used to make mostly cards, and by no means have I stopped doing that.. but nowadays I seem to make more art journalling projects, Project Life, mini books and albums, and scrapbooking.. this page was inspired by  the new Dreamer paper series by 7 Dots Studio.. I've been eyeballing them on the net and hoping to get my paws on some.. anyway, I first made a background that had lots of blue, green and numbers, but it did not wotk with the rainbow.. hey presto, soothing sky impression was done in a jiffy using blue food coloring. I also machine stiched around the page and on the photo, just to test how it would look. The yellow+pink frill I made from tissue paper colored with Distress inks.

Things with wings - Siivekkäitä

I was cleaning my desk and found these pages I had die cut earlier. Started making a mini picture book and then found out about Simon Says Stamp's current challenge.. well, I think this fits the theme. Time also flies on fleet wings these days..

Siivosin pöytääni ja löysin nämä kauan sitten valmiiksi leikkaamani sivut. Aloin tehdä minikuvakirjaa, ja samalla linkkaamiani sivuja selatessa huomasin että Simon Says Stamp-nettikaupan haaste vaikutti aiheeltaan tähän soveltuvalta. Aika kuluu nykyään kuin siivillä..

Seikkailukirja - Adventure book

Heh.. Kertoo paljon, että viime sunnuntain julkisilla toteutettu reissuni Variston sinelliin tuntui seikkailulta..

Kellonrattaita - Clockworks

Ratastutti, piti siis tehdä rattaita. Keskellä oleva valokuva on Prahassa joskus kauan sitten otettu. Oikeasti pohjana käytetty kuultopaperi on taivaansininen, mutta se ei oikein valoa vasten otetussa kuvassa näy.

I had to make some gears.. just had to. So I decided to scrap this photo taken in Prague ages ago. The background is sky blue vellum, which is no so well visible in the photo taken with light shining through.

Uuteen kotiin - New home

Tein huvin vuoksi halloweenteemalla "Onnea uuteen kotiin"-kortin. Ei kovin pelottava. Softista (etureunan aita) on hauska leikata stansseilla, siitä kuuluu jännä ääni.

I decided to make a halloween-themed New Home card. Not so scary it turned out. The foam material I used for the fence sounds funny when it's cut with a die.

Naakat - Jackdaws

Naakkakuva on odottanut valmiiksisaattamistaan pitkään.. Katselin ja kuuntelin Kivenlahden naakkoja monessa joulukuussa, ja jäivät mieleen. Tämän kuvan tein kokonaan tänään, kun eBayn kautta tilatut Dreamweaverin terässtencilit tulivat postiluukusta.. Akvarellipaperia, Versafinen mustetta, Distressmusteita, musta kalvotussi ja sinimetallinvärinen puukynä.

This picture has been waiting to be manifested for quite a while.. I have watched and listened to the jackdaws of Kivenlahti in the past few Decembers, and they've left an impression. This picture was done entirely during today, after the two Dreamweaver stencils I ordered from eBay arrived.. Watercolor paper, Versafine Onyx and Distress inks, a black overhead marker and a gunmetal blue pencil.

Synttärikortti Miehelle - Bday card for The Man

Tein Miehelle synttärikortin, jossa 6 sivua. Tyttöleimat ovat KennyK's digileimoja, väritetty akvarellipuukynillä, paperina Cosmo Criketin hauska retropallopsykedelia, tiketit parista eri leimasinsetistä. Numerot leikkasin pahvista ja sivelin matta-geelimediumilla jonka päälle runsaalla kädellä hologrammiglitteriä. Tätä oli hauska tehdä, digileimojen valikoimisesta alkaen.

I made a birthday card for my Man. It consists of 6 pages made of Cosmo Cricket's colorful retro-circle-psychedelia. The girlie stamps are from KennyK's digistamp collection, and the tickets are from a couple of stamp sets. The numbers I cut from cardboard, painted with matte gel medium and sprinkled with hologram glitter. I had lots of fun making this card, beginning from choosing which digistamps to buy.

Aika-tila-Muistikirja / Time-Space Journal

Olin miettinyt jonkin aikaa tämän kirjansidonnan opettelua, ja eilen illalla innoituin sitten opettelemaan sen netin tutoriaalien avulla. Papereina on valkoinen runsasliituinen kiiltävä paperi ja laatikosta löytyneet, aikoinaan lehdistä leikatut tähtikuvat.

I'd thought about learning this type of bookbinding, and yesterday evening I got the impulse to find tutorials. The white paper is glossy, and the space pictures are from my stash of magazine cutouts.
