Kisukortti - Kitteh card

Havaitsin, että täksi päiväksi tarvitaan synttärikortti.. Paperi oli jo valmiina, mutta näytti jotenkin karulta pelkästään.. siispä kukkasia laserleikatusta arkista+värejä päälle!


I realised a birthday card was needed for today.. I had bought the paper for this already in the summer, but it somehow seemed a bit stark alone.. so, added some snips frm a laser cut flowery paper + Distress inks to color!

Synttärikortti Miehelle - Bday card for The Man

Tein Miehelle synttärikortin, jossa 6 sivua. Tyttöleimat ovat KennyK's digileimoja, väritetty akvarellipuukynillä, paperina Cosmo Criketin hauska retropallopsykedelia, tiketit parista eri leimasinsetistä. Numerot leikkasin pahvista ja sivelin matta-geelimediumilla jonka päälle runsaalla kädellä hologrammiglitteriä. Tätä oli hauska tehdä, digileimojen valikoimisesta alkaen.

I made a birthday card for my Man. It consists of 6 pages made of Cosmo Cricket's colorful retro-circle-psychedelia. The girlie stamps are from KennyK's digistamp collection, and the tickets are from a couple of stamp sets. The numbers I cut from cardboard, painted with matte gel medium and sprinkled with hologram glitter. I had lots of fun making this card, beginning from choosing which digistamps to buy.

Synttärikortti - birthday card!

Pikapikaa tutulle pojalle synttärikortti.. Paperi on Rockstar stackista, poikaleima Finnstamperin ja muut leimasimet Inkadinkadon, mustaa Versafinea musteena. Poika on väritetty akvarellikynillä + säiliösiveltimellä, numeroiden alla on Vintage Photo Distress inkkiä, numerot tehty QuickKutz'in Haunted-stanssilla. Ja sulkureuna leikattu Fiskarsin reunaleikkurilla.



I made a fast card to the son of a friend of ours.. the paper is from the Rockstar stack, the boy stamp is from Finnstamper and other stamps are Inkadinkado, stamped with black Versafine. I've colored the boy using watercolor pencils and reservoir brush. Underneath the numbers some Vintage Photo Distress ink, and the numbers themselves were cut with QuickKutz Haunted alphabet die. Fiskars boder punch was used for the edges.

Nyt ruusuntuoksulla! Mietin, millaisen 40v-kortin haluaisin sitten mooonen vuoden päästä kun täytän 40. Tämmöinen siitä tuli.

Now scented with roses! I got to thinking about what kind of a 40-year card i'd like to get, and decided to make one. So here it is.

Kisu-synttärikortti - a Birthday card

Tämä on ollut vaiheessa tooosi kauan, koska en saanut siihen oikein särmää. Aika hempeä, mutta sopii kohteelle :-D.

This has been in the process for a long time, becaus I could not find the right Edge to it.. Quite fluffy, fits the recipient ;-).

Rokkisynttärikortti - Rock'n Roll Birthday card

Tänään tuli pikatilaus synttärikortista, siispä laitoin semmoisen kasaan. Pääsin ekaa kertaa kokeilemaan synttärilahjaksi saamaani kuumailmapuhallinta kultajauheen sulatteluun, hyvin toimii.

I got an express order for a birthday card earlier today, and here's what I made. This was my first try with my hot air gun (which was a b-day present from my husband <3); so easy to use! I've done all jot embossing with the kitchen stove before X-D.

Materiaalit: DCWV:n Rockstar Stackin paperi, Super Fine Detail Gold-embossausjauhe, kullavärinen folio, 2-puolinen teippi.

Synttärilahja - A Birthday Special :-D

Yhtenä aamuna heräsin siihen, että tuo kraka oli latautunut päähäni ja vaati toteutusta. Ja toki myös robottiaiheinen kortti synttärisankarille.

Kraka on tehty Hobbypointin myymään silkkisolmioaihioon. Ensin leimasin robotit, ökkömömmiäiset yms. Versacraft-musteella, sitten silitin ne kiinni raudalla. Sen jälkeen vedin leimatut reunat silkkimaalausresistillä, annoin kuivua ja silkkiväreillä väritys.

Kortti on Ruska-korttipohjalla, rattaat leikattu Tim Holtzin Gadget gears -stanssilla, robopaperi on - jaa, sen reunassapa ei luekaan. Numeroiden ja kirjainten leikkuu Timpan Vintage Market-stanssilla. Numeroiden&kirjainten sekä rattaiden materiaali on Genevessä asuvan ystäväni tuomasta suklaarasiasta - kierrätys rokkaa.

Korjasin juuri irronneen keskirattaan, homman juonihan on se, että kun isointa tai pienintä ratasta pyörittää, muut liikkuvat myös.

One morning when I woke up, the idea for this tie had downloaded itself into my head and demanded to be manifested on the material plane. And also there should be a robot-themed card to go with it..

The tie was made from a ready-made white silk tie. First I stamped the robots and aliens &other stuff on to the tie with VersaCraft, then fixed them by ironing. Then I treated the stamped lines with silk painting resist, let that dry, and colored the characters and the bg with silk painting colors, then ironed it again to fix.

The card gears were cut with TH Gadget Gears die and letters with the Vintage Market die. The material for the numbers and letters is form a chocolate box brought by a friend who lives in Geneva - recycling rocks!

I fixed the gear that had come loose, as the idea is that when one turns the big wheel, all the other cogs also move.

Syntärikortti miehelle - Birthday card for a man

Tämän kortin tein eräänä yönä, kun ei nukuttanut ja askarteluhammasta kolotti. Tuo värillinen paperi näytti kivalta kokonaisena, mutta sen käyttäminen olikin yllättävän haastavaa, sillä isoina aloina muiden elementtien kanssa se näyttää levottomalta. Onnea-sana näkyy hieman huonosti, kultajauheella embossattu kun on.

This card was made one night when I could not sleep and my papercraft tooth was itching. The colorful paper seemed really appealing when whole, but using it in something this small turned out to be a challenge. The word "Onnea" (=congratulations) is poorly visible, as it was embossed with gold powder and these pics are scanned by me.

Ensimmäinen kortti - The First Card

Tämän kortin tein parina iltana, kun inspiroiduin tuosta perhospaperista. Halusin myös testata, että vuosia sitten hankkimani laatikkoon pölyttymään jääneet Fiskarsin embossauslevyt toimivat myös Big Shotin kanssa, ja niin toimivatkin! Se Fiskarsin levyihin kuuluva hankauskahva on hankala käyttää isoilla aloilla, mutta Big Shotilla homma toimi nopsasti koloja jättämättä. Vasemmalla kortin etusivu ja oikealla sen takana oleva sisäpuoli.

I made this card during a couple of evenings while inspired by that butterfly paper. I also wanted to test whether the Fiskars embossing plates I bought years ago would work with Big Shot.. yes they do! The rubbing handle that comes with the Fiskars plates was always too cumbersome to use on large areas, but Big Shot does the job perfectly. On the left is the front of the card, and on the right it's backside..
