Unimaisema - Dreamscape

Akvarellipaperia, liimaa, distressmusteita suihkepulloista ja mustetyynyiltä, kolme leimasinta..  Tämä kuva on omistettu äidilleni, jolla oli vuosipäivä taannoin!

Ohjeita itselle - My Rulez

Olen ihan ihastunut mini mistereillä suihkimiseen.. Distress inkiä täyttöpullosta ja vettä päälle, eri värejä helppo sekoittaa keskenään mutta tuloksesta ei tiedä ennen kuin suihkasee paperille..

I'm in love with the Mini Mister bottles.. Filled with Distress ink from a reinker bottle, then topped with water. Different colors are easy to mix, but one won't know the result until one spritzes the color onto paper.. The text is My Rulez for the ongoing year: Breathe - Stay calm - Do not make assumptions - Learn to ask questions - Ask for what you want - speak openly and honestly - Love and honour yourself - Don't care about the opinions of others - Strive to find the truth - Do not blame or judge - Don't take things personally - Stay in the present moment.

Kesää&pitsiä - Summer lace..

Kesätunnelmaa vuosien takaa, näin 12 asteen pakkasessa. Tein taustan eilen, leikkelemällä arkistointikortteja Timpan stanssilla, sitten liimaa ja itse sekoiteltua värisuihketta (mustard seed+stormy sky), sen päälle musteita tyynyistä ja vielä Memories Mist'iä. Tänään leikkelin tuon valokuvan ja teipillä kiinni, sitten vähän Paper Artsyn leimasinta ja pieni tekstipätkä kynällä.

It's -12 degrees celsius today in Helsinki.. I missed summer.. I made the background yesterday.. cut up some archival cards with a Tim Holtz die, then glued a lot and colored with a mixture of mustard seed + stormy sky +water, swiped that with several colours of distress pads and then misted with Memories Iridescent Mist. Today I cut the photo and taped it down, used a stamp from Paper Artsy and wrote the journaling. The text says:"I've loved climbing trees since I was a child."

This scrapbook page I will enter into Simon Says Stamp and Show.. anything but a card challenge!

Pitsiä.. Lace..

Finnabair'in kuvien innoittama kokeilu.. leikkelin arkistointikortteja, liimailin ja väritin.. Tuo tumma punainen on nyt lemppari.

This came from looking at Finnabair's works.. I cut some archiving cards, glued them down and colored them.. That red in the background is my favourite right now.

Perjantai/Friday &13.

Tänään on perjantain ja 13. päivä. Sen kunniaksi vastavärejä raitoina.. aamulla herätessä tämäkin kuva oli jo valmiina odottamassa manifestaatiota.

Today it is Friday and 13th.. so stripes and contrast colours. This was waiting to be realized when I woke up this morning.

Lisää kortteja.. mietin muita maita.. suojalasit, korsetit, arkebuusit, ilmalaivat.. hmmm..

More cards.. I'm thinking about the other suits.. goggles, corsages, arquebus, hot air balloons.. hmm..

Sain idean tänä aamuna. Olen tehnyt kortteja nyt illalla, mutta 3 hovikorttia puuttuu.. Lantit - hammasrattaat..

7 Dots Studiolta on tulossa lisää herkkuja paperijuttuja.. Liisa Ihmemaassa on teemana, sarjan nimi on Wonderland, enkä osaa päättää kumpi näistä kahdesta on kaikken kivoin kokoelman yhdeksästä paperista. Ei ne loputkaan paljoa jälkeen jää.. Tahtoo!

2012 Art Journal

Nyt teen yhtaikaa kolmea varsinaista art journalia, heh. Eri tarkoituksiin, ja lisäksi vielä pienemmät kun sille päälle satun. Viime vuoden ideani tehdä yksi pieni sivu pieneen kalenteriin ei toteutunut kovin isolta osalta kalenteria, nyt kokeilen tehdä sivun silloin kun sellainen on syntyäkseen, pyrkimyksenä joka päivä. Mutta ei tyhjiä sivuja aikaansaamassa syyllisyydentunteita.

Now I'm working on three art journals, heh. They have different goals, plus I suspect I'll make additional smaller ones when I feel like itl. Last year's idea to make one small page every day into a calendar did not happen for most of the year, so now I'll try making pages when they come, striving to do one every day. But now there won't be empty pages giving me guilt.
