Yhtenä aamuna heräsin siihen, että tuo kraka oli latautunut päähäni ja vaati toteutusta. Ja toki myös robottiaiheinen kortti synttärisankarille.
Kraka on tehty Hobbypointin myymään silkkisolmioaihioon. Ensin leimasin robotit, ökkömömmiäiset yms. Versacraft-musteella, sitten silitin ne kiinni raudalla. Sen jälkeen vedin leimatut reunat silkkimaalausresistillä, annoin kuivua ja silkkiväreillä väritys.
Kortti on Ruska-korttipohjalla, rattaat leikattu Tim Holtzin Gadget gears -stanssilla, robopaperi on - jaa, sen reunassapa ei luekaan. One morning when I woke up, the idea for this tie had downloaded itself into my head and demanded to be manifested on the material plane. And also there should be a robot-themed card to go with it..
The tie was made from a ready-made white silk tie. First I stamped the robots and aliens &other stuff on to the tie with VersaCraft, then fixed them by ironing. Then I treated the stamped lines with silk painting resist, let that dry, and colored the characters and the bg with silk painting colors, then ironed it again to fix.
The card gears were cut with TH Gadget Gears die and letters with the Vintage Market die. The material for the numbers and letters is form a chocolate box brought by a friend who lives in Geneva - recycling rocks!
I fixed the gear that had come loose, as the idea is that when one turns the big wheel, all the other cogs also move.
